EMPLOYER RESOURCES NEWSLETTER - September 2016

9/25/2016

Welcome to the latest issue of the Employer Resources Newsletter, where you will find in-depth and expertly researched and written articles (courtesy of Adare Human Resource Management) covering key areas of employment law and best practice.

In this month’s newsletter, we are also asking our readers to participate in a poll survey on the topic of of Paternity Leave.

From September 1st 2016, new fathers will lawfully be able to take 2 weeks paid paternity leave within the first 26 weeks of their child being born or adopted.

The €230 a week payment can be claimed once new fathers give 4 weeks notice to their employer, have a valid public services card and up to date PRSI payments.

All Organisations are encouraged to review update their Employee Handbook/policies and procedures to account for this new legislation and use this updated policy to remind Employees about other key HR policies in place.

Readers are asked to participate in our poll survey by no later than 14th October - results will be featured in next month's ER Newsletter.
